You have an applicability map, an inventory, one real assessment and a signed recommendation. That is more than most people hold when they apply for this work. It is also the material least likely to be readable, because governance writing pulls hard toward the passive and the safe.

What you do

Show judgement under pressure, because judgement under pressure is what is being hired. Write one case built on the recommendation: what you found, what you recommended, what the business wanted instead, and how it resolved. Keep the disagreement in. A governance portfolio with no friction in it says either that nothing was at stake or that you did not push, and neither helps you. If the work is confidential, and it usually is, rebuild it against a public system and state plainly at the top that you have done so. That reads as trustworthy rather than evasive. Lead with the assessment, because it is the piece showing you can move from a named harm to evidence to a control. Put the conditions on the first screen, since concrete and verifiable is rare in this field. Cut anything hedged to the point of saying nothing. Then rewrite your CV against the applicability map from stage one, using the language of the regimes that actually apply rather than governance in general. Have somebody outside the field read it and tell you what you decided.

Done when

  • One written case includes a real disagreement with the business and how it resolved.
  • Confidential material is replaced by a public equivalent, and that substitution is stated at the top.
  • The assessment leads, and the verifiable conditions appear on the first screen.
  • Passages hedged to the point of committing to nothing have been cut.
  • Somebody outside the field has read it and correctly named the decision you made.

If you get stuck

The quiet failure is writing it all in the passive voice so that no decision has an author, which is the house style of the field and the exact opposite of what this job needs. Write that you recommended it. The second failure is deciding you can show nothing because everything is confidential. Rebuild it on a public system and say so. Nobody expects you to leak. They expect to see how you think.
